Camp 2019: Union Sushi and Barbeque Feast!

(See the very bottom for how to get tickets. Although this is not actually part of ORD Camp (Which means you have to pay for it), this is a private, ORD Camp-only event for campers and significant others

What?

Greetings fellow ORD Campers! It’s that time of year again!

We wish to invite you to an exciting kick-off event that will get those creative and gastric juices flowing for the entire weekend.

We’re going to once again have a pre-camp dinner, this year at the amazing Union Sushi and Barbeque. It’s got amazing sushi, BBQ cooked on their super-hot robata grill, as well as super tasty cocktails and Japanese whiskies.

Enjoy some quality time eating and drinking with your fellow ORD Campers, all while watching the chefs work in an amazing restaurant in Chicago. We’ll be taking over all of Union for the night, from the main area centered around the robata grill and the kitchen, to the mellow upstairs balcony bar area.. While there will be plenty  of food and drink, you’ll likely be milling about more in “ORD Camp Party Mode” which will allow for you to catch up with your fellow campers and meet new ones. Wear comfy shoes ?

This will be an all-inclusive event with plenty of food, drinks, and specialty cocktails. Tax and gratuity also included. Basically, you buy a ticket, show up and eat and drink all you want, and leave. It’s easy!

Note that due to the nature of this event, Union cannot accommodate detailed food allergies and dietary restrictions, BUT they can accommodate lacto-ovo vegetarians.

Get your tickets before they run out!

Who?

You, courageous ORD Camper, and possibly your significant other if they’re in town. We do, however, ask that you don’t use this as a generic +1 and bring along a friend or acquaintance.

When?

Thursday, January 24th, 6:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.

How Much?

The Thursday Night feast isn’t included in ORD Camp, and subsequently isn’t free–in fact, the actual cost of the event is roughly $107 per person. In an attempt to be more inclusive this year we are doing an experiment in community so we’ve created a number of different priced tickets for the event–help us bring this unique experience to a diverse set of ORD Campers by participating at the level that is right for you. The price you paid will be kept confidential and while you’re certainly free to share what you paid, we would prefer everyone kept this to themselves. Note that all tickets get access to the same food and drink. So without further ado, here are the prices!

Student/Artist/Activist rate: $11

Discount Rate: $66

Donor Rate (Pay for yourself and throw in a few bucks for the discounted tix): $110

Benefactor (you’re in a position to help support the ORD Camp community): $1,111
